Michelle Mirowski, President Michelle has three years of non-profit and five years of volunteer radio experience. She has been involved with underwriting, promotions and grant writing. Her time working for nonprofits has given her the skill needed to operate a successful organization. Michelle’s desire to bring community members together and promote local ideas will help Woodward 5 communities thrive.
Paul Schmalenberg, Vice-President First broadcasting at a low power FM station in high school, Paul has six years experience within volunteer radio programs. Ever since he has looked forward to an opportunity to have a direct involvement with a low powered FM station. Paul holds a Master of Science in Electromagnetics, and has years experience in radio transmission, radar, and FCC compliance which he hopes to leverage to the benefit of a new station in the Woodward Five area.
Dave Phillips, Secretary Dave Phillips has six years of professional news experience to pair with eight years in volunteer radio positions. Currently a court reporter for The Oakland Press, Phillips began his news career with a stint at the Paris (Tenn.) Post-Intelligencer, covering local crime and prep sports. He plans on pairing his local news experience with his passion for music to deliver headlines and songs that residents of the Woodward 5 communities need to hear.
Dave Kim, Treasurer Dave Kim has over 14 years of experience in radio broadcasting, bringing passions for music and community action since his first broadcast in high school. Residing in the Woodward corridor, he is intimately familiar with the area.
Jeremy Olstyn, Trustee Berkley native Jeremy Olstyn has 20 years of broadcasting experience; he has spent the last 15 working in low power FM. A co-founder of Underwood Five, Jeremy hopes to bring the strength of the medium to the local level. His radio specialties include management, education, and FCC compliance.
